Abstract
This article examines the connection between the education and employment of people with disabilities and special educational needs. The investigation was carried out using the method of literature review. From the examination of the literature, it became clear that education is the main sector that can provide not only knowledge but also skills to people with disabilities and special educational needs to effectively transition to the labor market and employment. The education sector, as well as teachers, constitute a key factor that can influence the subsequent employment of people with disabilities and special educational needs. This implies that education should be enriched with the appropriate skills for people with disabilities and special educational needs to have equal opportunities with others in the labor market.
