Abstract
The objective of this study was to formulate and evaluate a polyherbal capsule incorporating Madhuca longifolia along with Fenugreek seed, Pumpkin seed, Sea buckthorn, Moringa oleifera, Shatavari, and Amla, known for their nutritional and therapeutic properties. Pre-processed powders of each ingredient were mixed in specified ratios to prepare three formulations (F1, F2, and F3), which were then encapsulated using size ‘0’ hard gelatin capsules. The prepared batches were evaluated for organoleptic properties, weight variation, moisture content, disintegration time, and pH. Among the three, Batch F2 demonstrated optimal pharmaceutical characteristics, including acceptable weight uniformity (500 ± 4.6 mg), low moisture content (3.4%), rapid disintegration (18.6 minutes), and a pH suitable for gastrointestinal absorption (6.5). These results suggest that the selected combination in Batch F2 holds promise as a stable and effective herbal nutraceutical supplement.
